John Deere STX38 tractor runs for 5 minutes and will not start again until completely cools off, what could be?

John Deere STX 38 tractor will run and cut for few minutes and then just stops, cannot start it again until it cools off completely which could be couple hours and then repeats the same cycle. Any ideas what could be wrong? Any input would be appreciated!

Check the air filter and be sure the carburetor is clean of any gunk.

Get the magneto coil/s tested. A bad coil will work fine while it’s cool and can short internally when it gets hot.

ALSO SMALL ORIFICE SIZE OF PENCIL LEAD IS DRAIN LINE IN GAS TANK A SMALL PIECE OF LEAF OR DIRT CAN CLOG SUCTION LINE TRACTOR RUNS 5 MIN THEN QUITS WHEN STOPPED SUCTION STOPED AND PORT IS FREED AGAIN
