Unless you know exactly what you are hunting for, how are you going to decide how and where to look?
If you are seriously searching for a vintage tractor, be careful and not let enthusiasm run away with you. If you do, you might well be in difficulty before you start the project. Restoring an antique tractor or other old farm implement is rewarding. But it isn't an overnight project moreover it is able to become costly quite swiftly. Parts for many aged tractors are available but some are challenging to locate and may be on the spendy side. You may well find that instead of buying a project tractor, it would be just as satisfying to buy one which someone else has already put all of the effort, expense and time into. Odds are favorable that you could purchase it for a lesser amount of money than the owner put into it, to say nothing about all of his labor.
Try out any tractor prior to deciding to buy it. Do you find it simple to start and seem, solid and feel right? Are the tires in good shape? Is there any hydraulic leakage evident? Do you detect any missing components or equipment? Be sure and give just as close an evaluation to any attachments. Finally, make sure that a vintage tractor truly fulfills the needs of the job you desire it for. It is hard to go wrong with an antique tractor like a John Deere if you search carefully.
