where is the spark plug or plugs on a John Deere SRX75 lawn tractor?

Prior to starting looking for a vintage or any pre-owned tractor for use on your place, there are one or two things you should remember. To begin with, try not to get captivated by nostalgia. Acquiring and rejuvenating an old tractor may be a great gratifying hobby. However it may become an expensive one.

I am trying to fix this John Deere lawn tractor- I think the spark plugs need to be replaced since I am having trouble getting it to turn over and start.

John Deere History

Before beginning to search for your tractor, be sure that you know what you truly want. This may possibly seem overly basic, but it is easy to get side tracked and buy something that you did not start out to purchase. Only once you are able to create a thorough listing of your requirements should you begin your search. Do not forget to add your technical and performance needs in your listing. If you do not understand just what you happen to be looking for, how are you going to decide where and how to look?

If you are seriously hunting for a vintage tractor, be careful and not allow enthusiasm run away with you. If you do, you might well be in difficulty before you begin the project. Rebuilding an antique tractor or other old farm implement is satisfying. But it isn't an overnight project and it is able to become costly very fast. Parts for many aged tractors are obtainable however some are challenging to find and can be on the spendy side. Original tires might be difficult to purchase and reproduction tires may cost more than your tractor. You may discover that instead of buying a project tractor, it would be just as gratifying to procure one that someone else has already put all of the time, effort and expense into. Chances are favorable that you could purchase it for less money than the owner put into it, to say nothing about all of his labor.

Try the tractor before you decide to buy it. Do you find it simple to start and look, sound and feel right? Are the tires in good shape? Is there any hydraulic seepage evident? Can you see any missing components or accessories? Make certain and give equally close an examination to any attachments. As a final point, make certain that a vintage tractor really satisfies the needs of the task you want it for. It truly is hard to go wrong with an antique tractor such as a John Deere if you search cautiously.

John Deere Parts

I don’t intend to be mean when I say this, but if you have to ask a question that basic you really should take the machine to a shop. Sounds like it needs a tuneup anyway and there is much more to a tuneup than changing spark plugs.
